Michael Jordan reveals his last conversation with Kobe Bryant

Tragically passed away on January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant will once again be honored. On May 15, the Lakers legend will be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. To present it, it is Michael Jordan who was chosen by the family of the deceased.

On his speech and tears at the Mamba tribute ceremony: « At first I was a little nervous about it, but I realized that I shouldn’t be nervous about showing emotion to someone I loved deeply.

On her upcoming Hall of Fame speech: « Vanessa asked me to do it. In all honesty, I think Kobe would have chosen me or Shaq, since they won three championships together […] It will be a great honor. It’s like greeting a family member. He has given me the greatest respect by trying to replicate some of the things I have done. I can only return the favor by showing my admiration for this guy who is one of the greatest basketball players in history. »

– Bryant: « This tequila is amazing. »

– Jordan: « Thanks brother. »

– Bryant: « Is the family okay?  »

– Jordan: « Impeccable, how about yours?  »

– Bryant: « Same here. »

– Jordan: « Hope to see you soon, Coach Kobe.

– Bryant: « I’m sitting on the bench right now and we’re blowing out the other team. 45-8 for us.

For Jordan, this conversation is perfect to represent the Black Mamba: « I love that last message. Why? Because it shows the competitive nature of Kobe.
