Most media guys don’t think of Kobe Bryant as one of the five best players ever. But it seems like most players do, at least according to Matt Barnes.

NBA fans across the world will never tire of debates about the all-time rankings. It’s not only the fans who engage in such debates often but players themselves too. While LeBron James and Michael Jordan are the obvious choices, players like Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, and others are the probables.
But according to Matt Barnes, no list is complete with Kobe. In a recent, Barnes explained why he believes Kobe is a top-five player of all-time.
He said, “I respect no basketball list that dont’t have Kobe Bryant top 5… Majority of the time the list that don’t have Kobe top 5 are made by people who never played. You ask Kobe’s peers he’s top 3”
