Some felt it was time for the NBA to change its logo, and Kobe best represented the NBA of the 21st century. Others, however, felt that he was not the right player to replace Jerry West’s silhouette.
A year later, Kyrie Irving is reigniting the debate, and he adds a racial note: « It’s going to happen. I don’t care what anyone thinks. Black kings built the NBA.
