“They don’t like each other.” said Byron Scott about Kobe & ex-teammate Dwight Howard after the two got into a little late game altercation during the Laker’s loss to the Rockets.

The altercation happened with 7 minutes to go and the Rockets leading comfortably by 25 points. After a foul by Kobe, Dwight tried to give Bryant a chin-check which caused some trash-talking and Kobe saying “Try me” as the crowd cheered “Kobe, Kobe, Kobe.”

The refs gave them both techs and Dwight made both of the free throws before heading to the bench with a big smile.

“There’s no need to go into it. We won the game,” Howard said afterwards. “It’s over with. It’s about basketball. I’m not even focused on it.”

The always sarcastic Bryant, who scored 19 points on 6 of 17 shooting, did have a few “kind” words to say about Dwight after the game.

“You can’t help but like him,” Bryant said. “He’s a teddy bear. I really mean that. He’s a nice kid.”

Whatever Kobe.

I don’t know when, but one day, hopefully, we will see this really happen…

I’m obviously kidding, but if it does, hopefully Mr “if you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear” Bryant’s boxing skills have improved since his bouts with Chris Childs or Monty Williams.
