Ja Morant gained notoriety a few months back for remarks he made regarding the Memphis Grizzlies’ prospects of making a strong playoff run and not caring about the rest of the Western Conference. Following the whirlwind of transactions that took place at the deadline due to the remarks, New Orleans Pelicans guard C.J. McCollum tweeted a humorous response.
The Boston Celtics were the only club that Morant indicated he was worried about, and on Sunday afternoon, the Celtics played home to the Grizzlies. Morant proceeded to defend his remarks after the game, according to Khari Thompson of Boston.com.

The Grizzlies have dropped nine out of their previous 12 games, which is a little bit of a skid. They are still in second place in the Western Conference standings with a record of 34-22, two games ahead of the third-place Sacramento Kings.
