Shaquille O’Neal makes interesting comment regarding LeBron James and the GOAT debate and him breaking the All-Time scoring record set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
When it comes to NBA superstars, it doesn’t get much bigger than LeBron James. Now, the four-time MVP is on the brink of making history by shattering the All-Star scoring record and achieving a level of incomparable greatness. These claims come from none other than the legendary Shaquille O’Neal, who recently expressed his excitement for what James is about to accomplish. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at O’Neal’s statement and why James’ case is the greatest player of all time.
Shaquille O’Neal recently expressed his belief that LeBron James will become incomparable after shattering the All-Star scoring record. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Shaq declared, “He’s got four rings and he becomes the highest scorer in the NBA history. He’s the best ever. LeBron is the best player ever. I don’t want to hear [Chamberlain’s] name no more. He’d be No. 1. He’d be the leading scorer. Me, I want to be the leading scorer in the league because now it ain’t no conversation about who is the best ever in the league. Who is going to break it? Nobody.” Previously Shaq has proclaimed MJ to be the goat over LeBron.
Shaq’s remarks indicate that he believes LeBron James would surpass Michael Jordan as the best player ever if he passes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. To do so, LeBron needs to score only around 400 more points. If LeBron succeeds, he would have four rings and be the highest scorer in NBA history, making him one of the best ever. Some fans certainly seem to think that LeBron already has surpassed Jordan due to his longevity.
